Testimonials

"A few years ago my daughter and I went through a very difficult time when she was born prematurely at the fault of an Ob/Gyn. Looking at my tiny baby, I was afraid of what the future had in store for her. She had and will have many medical needs that goes above and beyond what insurance will cover. The attorneys at Archuleta, Alsaffar and Higginbotham stepped up and helped us secure my daughter's future. Everyone in the office treated me with compassion and respect! I am so grateful for all the hard work they did! Because of them, my daughter's life will be just a little bit brighter!"

“I would like to send our sincere thanks and gratitude to your firm for helping us with my surgery case. Our attorney was Laurie Higginbotham. She along with her staff, is and will always be a blessing to us. What a godsend. Not only did your office take on the Veterans Administration for us, but ultimately proved that they were in the wrong. Laurie truly lived up to and surpassed our expectations. We were informed every step of the way as to how our case was progressing, and that truly made us feel special. We had the pleasure of watching her at our settlement hearing, and she was quite amazing to see in action. We will never be able to thank Laurie for what she did for us in settling our case. She helped us get redemption for what the VA did to me."

On October 3, 2005, my husband went in to a military hospital for what was suppose to be same-day surgery. The surgeon made a terrible mistake, and seven weeks later my husband was finally discharged, with the promise he was on the mend. Five months later he began to seriously deteriorate, and we learned he was going to need a liver transplant. My husband was sick so long he lost his job, and we began to suffer financially. We did not think we had any recourse, but after making contact with the law firm of Archuleta, Alsaffar & Higginbotham, we learned that indeed we did. Our attorney, Jamal Alsaffar was like our David fighting Goliath! He fought for us and kept us informed of everything that was happening and took or returned each of our calls. Due to the hard work of this entire firm, shortly before our trial date the government settled with us, and today my husband and I are enjoying our life together. We thank God every day for Jamal and this firm!

Our daughter was born with severe disabilities due to a Doctor's mistake...right before and during her birth. Since she was born at a Naval Hospital, we did not know we could sue. Well, you can. The office of Archuleta, Alsaffar and Higginbotham filed the suit right before our daughter's 3rd birthday. Laurie Higginbotham and Jamal Alsaffar sought out medical professionals in many areas of expertise to look over her records; perform evaluations and submit their findings on how her injuries could have been prevented. In less than 2 years later, the government has settled with us and our daughter now has a Special Needs Trust to help out with expenses that insurance does not cover and to make her life a little more comfortable.
